Your Marketing Is Getting Complicated And Produces Nothing. It’s Time To Return To Simplicity
We met someone important earlier today. He is one of the management team members of a large company. He is responsible for the property division, and its marketing part. He told us marketing these days feels too complicated. In his own words, he said that we're being bombarded with a large wave of tools and technologies we don’t really need, random tactics that promise to be the magic bullet for our marketing challenges which obviously don’t really work. And, those jargons—the growth hacks, retargeting and all which are alien to us.
He added this, too: why can’t marketing be just simple, the business stays honest, authentic and focuses on what truly matters—connecting with people.
Well, he is right. Many businesses are falling for this so-called trend. The fundamental of marketing is actually to grow the ability to make people buy—again and again. This is done in a few simple ways.
The keyword here is simplicity.
It's time for businesses like yours to take a step back and rediscover the beauty of simplicity. Instead of getting lost in the marketing complexities, focus on what truly drives customer satisfaction: the quality of our product and service, the user experience we provide, and our ability to solve real problems for real people. Are we providing exceptional value? Are we making our customers' lives easier, better, or more enjoyable?
Prioritise these fundamental elements, and the words will go out there without us pushing them too hard. Now that is sustainable. Instead of making your marketing too complex, understand those fundamentals at a deeper level.
After all, isn't that what marketing should be?
